Discover how sensors and light-based detection systems work through hands-on STEM learning.
The Piper Make Beam Break gives learners the opportunity to build and program an interactive sensor project that responds when a light beam is interrupted. Used with the Piper Make Base Station, Beam Break introduces how infrared sensors are used in real-world technology for detection, automation, and responsive systems.
Through guided coding and engineering activities, learners experiment with light, motion, and trigger-based interactions while creating responsive systems activated by movement and environmental changes.
Once assembled, Beam Break can be programmed and customized through guided Piper Make Missions that bring interactive sensing and automation concepts to life.
