The Piper Make Base Station is the foundation for all Piper Make projects. Learners build their own Base Station before exploring coding, electronics, and problem-solving through interactive projects and hands-on STEM challenges.
Learners assemble the Base Station using laser-cut wood components and brass hardware before connecting it to Piper Make’s drag-and-drop coding platform at make.playpiper.com. Compatible with Chromebooks and Chrome-based browsers, the platform makes it easy to program lights, buttons, sensors, and other interactive projects using the included USB connection.
Through a series of guided tutorials and interactive missions, learners explore coding and electronics concepts through experimentation and hands-on challenges. Activities range from blinking LEDs and creating music with circuits to building interactive inventions and testing ideas in real time.
The Base Station also serves as the required foundation for additional Piper Make expansions including the Controller, Walker, Rover, Heart Rate Sensor, Solar House, and more.
