Enhanced Curriculum Makes STEM Integration Effortless

At Piper, our commitment to educators is simple: provide the tools and resources that make hands-on learning seamless, effective, and engaging. That’s why we’re constantly reviewing and improving our support materials—because when teachers succeed, students thrive.

A Central Hub for Educators

Last year, we took a big step forward by launching teach.playpiper.com—a centralized destination for all Piper Make and Piper Computer Kit documentation and support content. Alongside this launch, we introduced Educator Guides: concise, easy-to-follow documents that bring all the necessary resources for each kit into one place. The response from the education community was overwhelmingly positive, validating our belief that simplifying access to tools makes a big difference.

Listening to Educators, Building What’s Needed

Earlier this year, we took the next step by surveying educators to learn what else they needed. The feedback was loud and clear: teachers wanted a turnkey curriculum — something they could easily integrate into their classrooms with minimal prep. They needed plug-and-play content that fit into existing structures without hassle.

So, we got to work.

Introducing the Piper Make Curriculum

We’re proud to unveil the new Piper Make Curriculum, now available on teach.playpiper.com. This resource provides a full Base Station curriculum that guides educators and students through 17 hands-on activities over 14 sessions. From blinking an LED on the Raspberry Pi Pico to diving into the basics of Artificial Intelligence, the curriculum is designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and technical skill-building.

Each activity is fully supported by:

  • Educator Guides for step-by-step instruction
  • Alignment with CSTA and ISTE standards*
  • Built-in flexibility to meet varying classroom needs

Flexible and Easy to Use

To make the curriculum even more adaptable, we’ve packaged it as a Microsoft PowerPoint file, giving educators the ability to use it as-is or copy and paste content into their own lesson plans. Whether you’re a seasoned STEM instructor or just beginning your journey with Piper Make, this format is familiar, editable, and practical.

Always Growing, Always Listening

This curriculum release is not the final step—it’s part of an ongoing dialogue. We’re committed to continuously listening, learning, and improving based on your feedback. Our goal remains clear: to empower educators with high-quality, effective tools that make classroom integration easier and student engagement stronger.

We’re excited to share this new chapter of Piper Make with you—and even more excited for what’s next.
